Gordon Mavor

Gordon is Framework’s Accountancy service maestro, and his role is expansive within the company.

From preparing end of year accounts to taxation planning and returns, not to mention assisting with self-assessment filing, management reporting, independent examinations, audit preparation and presentation, and more, Gordon keeps a lot of plates spinning and hasn’t dropped one yet.

He also knows his way around the football pitch, having started his career as a professional footballer for Berwick Rangers FC. From tackling the opposition to tackling numbers, Gordon moved away from football and on to Heriot-Watt University, where he studied accountancy.

Working in London and Scotland throughout his career, Gordon rose through the management accountancy ranks for several businesses across multiple sectors. From meat and poultry processing to product packaging, timber merchants, sport governing bodies, and office furniture, Gordon has done it all and has a skillset that can be applied to any industry.

Later in his career, Gordon was also Head of Finance at Sportscotland, and set up his own accountancy practice which he ran successfully for many years before joining Framework. 

Experience is Gordon’s middle name, and with expertise in private, public, and third sectors, particularly with SMEs, sport governing bodies, and charities, Gordon is the most experienced and capable accountant you’re likely to meet.
