Client Operations Manager
Edinburgh
About the role
This client-facing position is crucial to ensuring accurate, timely bookkeeping for Framework’s clients. You will be responsible for managing our bookkeeping team and will have access to support from our payroll specialists and trainee accountants, as well as our accountants.
In this role, you will:
Liaise with clients as their main point of contact, assuming responsibility for your own group of clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with them;
Support onboarding of new clients;
Oversee our bookkeeping function, managing three remote-working bookkeepers;
Sign off day-to-day bookkeeping work, managing deadlines and ensuring accurate, timeous processing for clients in compliance with clients’ internal processes and standards of compliance with HMRC and IFRS;
Supervise annual or half-yearly budget processes for clients;
Oversee the production of year end, quarter end and audit preparations in advance of accountants’ sign off;
Ensure reports go out on time and are relevant and adapted to the clients’ needs;
Be available to answer clients’ questions as well as address and resolve any issues and concerns;
Maintain oversight of aged debtor management for clients;
Review, implement, document and adapt new and existing financial systems and controls;
Support and train bookkeepers and trainee accountants.

This permanent position is part-time (3 days), and we are flexible around whether you work in our central Edinburgh office, or on a remote or hybrid basis.
About you
Enthusiastic about making a positive contribution to the business, you will enjoy working independently and as part of the team. You will have:
Previous experience of working in a bookkeeping role at a senior level;
Good accounts and VAT knowledge;
Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
Effective verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
Proactive, process-driven approach, with excellent organisational skills;
Experience using Xero or similar software;
Strong working knowledge of GSuite, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
